| Elijah was born July 27,1997 to Emily, (our 18 year-old
daughter). He lived with us, (his Grandma and Grandpa), with his mother, and
an Aunt and Uncle. We
couldn't have loved him more!

|
Dec. 18th 1998, was the last time we saw Elijah well and whole, he was 17 months old. |
| On Dec. 21st, he was life-flighted to a Children's Medical Center. |
| His biological father had shaken Elijah while visiting him for a few days. |
| By December 24th, Elijah was pronounced "brain dead". |
| It was then that his mother held him for the last and final time.
Our family gathered around him to hold and rock him and tell him
good-bye. |
| In order to help make others aware of the devastating
effects of SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME, there
is a documentary about our grandson, "Elijah's Story". |
| It is now being shown in all Utah hospitals to the parents of newborns,
before they take their precious babies home. The video is also
available at a local library in Clearfield, Utah.
|
|
This documentary is Elijah’s legacy; how thankful we are that he is now helping others. |
