Elijah was born July 27,1997 to Emily, (our 18 year-old daughter).  He lived with us, (his Grandma and Grandpa), with his mother, and an Aunt and Uncle. We couldn't have loved him more!

Dec. 18th 1998, was the last time we saw Elijah well and whole, he was 17 months old.

On Dec. 21st, he was life-flighted to a Children's Medical Center.
His biological father had shaken Elijah while visiting him for a few days.
By December 24th, Elijah was pronounced "brain dead".
It was then that his mother held him for the last and final time.  Our family gathered around him to hold and rock him and tell him good-bye.
In order to help make others aware of the devastating effects of SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME, there is a documentary about our grandson, "Elijah's Story".
It is now being shown in all Utah hospitals to the parents of newborns, before they take their precious babies home.  The video is also available at a local library in Clearfield, Utah.

This documentary is Elijah’s legacy; how thankful we are that he is now helping others.
